The feedback regarding the web page from across the country has been overwhelmingly positive. The web site is still being refined and will require further updates including changes to the contact details to include information regarding the new network model. In October / November 1999 TAS has provided four x two day sessions of the accredited "Course in Tenancy Law for Community Workers" training to nearly fifty workers from funded Local Service Units, Legal Aid WA and a range of other community agencies. We have had excellent feedback from the Local Service Units regarding the training and satisfaction rates have ranged from 95% to 100% satisfied with the course.
Joanne and Lanie will be travelling to Port Hedland for the week commencing 6th December 1999 to provide training to the Pilbara Community Legal Service Workers from across the Pilbara. We will also be providing free advice and education to tenants via a stall at the Shopping Centre.
TAS will be travelling to Kalgoorlie in February 2000 to conduct training and education in conjunction with the Goldfields Community Legal Centre.
Tenancy Workers providing tenancy education will be meeting monthly to share information and ideas and develop strategies. The next meeting will be held at 1pm on Wednesday 12th January 1999 at TAS.
